DU’s Sherlock tops in Canada

University of Denver junior Stephanie Sherlock was the top amateur women’s golfer in Canada in 2008, finishing first in the Royal Canadian Golf Association’s final Order of Merit standings.

Sherlock won the CN Canadian Women’s Tour event in Winnipeg and the Sun Belt Conference championship last summer, finished second at the Royale Cup Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship and tied for fifth at the NCAA Division I championship.

Sue Kim of Langley, British Columbia, who won two CN Canadian Women’s Tour events last summer, finished fourth in the Order of Merit standings. She has signed a scholarship to attend DU next fall.
